6 Aug 2026 - Introducing the New Planner
Release Date: August 6, 2026
Today we are releasing the New Planner, a powerful new workspace for planning the day, coordinating your team, and responding to changes as they happen.
For step-by-step operational guidance, see User Manual > Planner Beta.
The New Planner will replace the legacy Planner. It gives your operation a clearer way to build trips, see who still needs planning, assign staff, and make confident decisions without losing sight of the wider day.
It is built for real operational flow: process the Scheduling Inbox, switch to the Assigning Inbox when staffing still needs attention, work toward inbox zero, and keep moving without leaving the planner context.
What the New Planner can do
Section titled “What the New Planner can do”The New Planner introduces capabilities that go beyond the legacy Planner’s booking-card workflow:
- Plan in Day, Week, or Month view: move from detailed daily coordination to a broader upcoming schedule without changing tools.
- Work in Trip Focus or Staff Focus: organise the plan around trip capacity and guests, or around instructor, guide, and team availability.
- Work from inbox-driven queues: use Scheduling and Assigning inboxes to process unscheduled or unassigned work clearly, with Inbox Zero states when the queue is complete.
- Drag and drop guests and groups: place guests on a trip, move them between trips, use drop zones to schedule, unschedule, assign, or unassign, and confirm trip-specific decisions when a participant is linked to multiple trips.
- Update groups in bulk: select multiple guests to assign a trip, assign a guide or instructor, move a group, or remove selected guests from a trip together, including across multiple trips when needed.
- Plan staff alongside guests: see scheduled, available, and unavailable team members, then assign or unassign work from the same workspace.
- Protect capacity and guide limits: review trip capacity, overbooked states, and guide warnings before confirming an overbooking or a guide-to-guest exception.
- Create new work quickly: use the +New menu to create a booking, add a trip, add participants to a selected trip, or create a rest day.
- Use trip templates: keep recurring boat runs, course schedules, and regular trips consistent and quicker to set up.
The result is a planning flow designed for real operations: last-minute bookings, weather changes, boat swaps, staff absences, course groups, and busy shift handovers.
The New Planner is currently in beta while we refine it with operational feedback. Please tell us what helps your daily workflow and what you would like to see next.
Fixed: editing day counts for non-consecutive multi-day activities
Section titled “Fixed: editing day counts for non-consecutive multi-day activities”We fixed an issue when editing the number of days in a non-consecutive scheduled multi-day activity.
You can now adjust the day count with confidence while keeping an irregular schedule, such as a course with a planned rest day. This makes it easier to adapt a multi-day activity when a customer changes their plans or operational conditions require a new schedule.
